Scheduling
· All teams will be scheduled 3 games, the top team from each division will make it into a single-elimination playoff. Tiebreakers between teams will be determined by 1) Overall Record 2) Head-to-Head 3) Points Against Average 4) Total Goal Differential 5) Coin Flip.
· All games will be scheduled in advance.
· Each team must avoid a NO SHOW to make the playoff tournament. The playoff tournament is single elimination.
· We will do our best to not cancel any games due to the weather. Please be prepared to play in cold and wet conditions. If any playoff games are cancelled we will do our best to reschedule the games that week. That might require games to be played on Friday afternoons and all times on Saturday and Sunday.
· Game time is forfeit time.
· This is coed soccer. All teams must consist of both males and females. There must be at least 7 players ready to play to start a game. The 8 players must consist of 4 males and 4 females. If a team is short on female players, the field players must be at least 50% female. Goalie can be of either gender. All players must be in proper attire (see below) to be considered READY TO PLAY.
Equipment
· Every player must wear shin-guards at all times. If a player is found without shin-guards they may be ejected for the remainder of the tournament.
· All players must wear the same color jersey on top of any other clothes; target jerseys will be available for checkout.
· NO CLEATS, turf shoes and tennis shoes only. No boots or shoes with any type of a heel may be worn. On site Supervisor's judgment is final. This is not up for debate.
· No hats other than stocking caps may be worn.
· All players must be in athletic attire to participate. NO jeans or slacks may be worn.
Playing time
· 1 (25) minute half
· There are no timeouts
· There is no overtime period during the regular season. In the playoff tournament if the clock expires there will be a 5-minute sudden death period played. This is an extension of the game so the teams will not be able to switch goals. A coin flip will be used to determine which team kicks off. If the game is still tied and the end of the sudden death period, a 3 person shootout with only the players on the field as time expired, will determine the winner. Female goals are still counted as 2 points. (3-2-1 so on)
Intramural Rule Variations
· A goal scored when a female is the last to touch the ball is worth 2 points; if a male touches the ball last 1 point will be given.
·Any action that the referees/Supervisor/Staff's deem a slide-tackle will be punishable by an ejection. These are judgment calls and are NOT subject to appeal. Stay under control.
· There is no yellow/red cards enforcement. Any dangerous acts will be dealt with on an ejection basis. Any ejection results in a minimum one game suspension. NO WARNINGS WILL BE GIVEN!
· There is unlimited substitution during your team's dead ball times. (throw-in, goal kick, corner kick)
· There is NO off-sides
· All free kicks are direct.
· No player may play or attempt to play the ball while not on their feet. If this play occurs, a foul will be called and a direct kick will be awarded. Repeated plays of this type by either a player or a team will result in an ejection and/or forfeiture of the game.
