4 on 4 Volleyball is played as a special tournament over a Friday and Saturday during the academic year.  Here are a few simple rules for the tournament and game play.

1.   The tournaments are double elimination.  Teams must lose twice before being eliminated from play.

2.   Each match will consist of the best 2 out of 3 games.

3.   Each game has a time limit of 14 minutes or the winning team scores 25 points winning by 1 point (rally scoring).

4.   If a game goes past the allotted time, and the score is tied, the next point for either team will determine the winner.

5.   Games are self-officiated.  Teams will call infractions against themselves and the other team as needed.

6.   The scheduled game time is forfeit time.

7.   Teams must have 3 players to compete.

8.   Any actions deemed unsportsmanlike by the IM Staff can result in ejections and suspensions of players and/or teams.

Coed 4 on 4 Volleyball Rules

All rules for 4 on 4 Volleyball will apply to Coed with the additional playing rules.

1.   Teams must have 2 females on the court at all times.

2. Teams can play with 2 females and 1 male.
