WATER SAFETY TRAINING

Lifeguard Training

This course certifies you to be a pool lifeguard. Participants will learn the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. This course includes First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.

Pre-requisite: Must be 15 years old and pass a swim test. Fee: $150

Water Safety Instructor

This course will certify participants to teach ARC swimming lessons and the Community Water Safety course. Pre-requisite: 16 years old, able to swim Level IV skills. Participants will be required to pass a swimming skills test on the first day of class. The FIT course is included. Fee: $175

* Weekend classes meet two consecutive weekends.

Lifeguard Instructor

This course will certify participants to teach the New Lifeguard Training, AED, Supplemental Oxygen, Preventing Disease Transmission, Community Water Safety, first aid and CPR courses. The FIT course is included. Pre-requisite: 17 years old and possess current new material LGT certificate. Must successfully complete a pre-course session consisting of skills test and written test over LGT, first aid & CPR/PR. Fee: $100.
