Director
How long at OU?: I arrived at OU in 1991 and instantly fell in love with the university. I hold a BS in Chemistry and a PhD in Education. Within Student Affairs, I have held many positions including the director for Residence Life and the director for Housing and Food Services. In 2004, I chose to follow my passion for education and wellness as the director for Recreational Services.
Hobbies and Interests: In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, working out, taking photographs, and working in my gardens.
Favorite Thing about OU: "My favorite things about OU are the students and the community. Every day is new and a great opportunity to positively impact others' lives. Working in Recreational Services is a great way to do this. The department reaches out not only to educate, but to help students, faculty, and staff establish life-long habits."
Hometown: Oklahoma City
Favorite place to eat in Norman: Mamaveca's is my favorite restaurant. The ceviche is the best!
Favorite time of year: My favorite time of the year is summer. The weather is beautiful and the air is full of anticipation of students arriving in August. I know the new year will bring excitement to campus."

How long at OU?: I came to the university in 1990 and completed my undergrad in 1993. I have been on staff since 1994 and I am currently the Assistant Director of Recreational Services and direct Intramural Sports and the Adaptive Sports program.
Hobbies and Interest: I am an avid golfer. I am active in my church and like watching my two boys play sports.
Favorite Thing about OU: Working for students to make an impact during their educational tenure.
Hometown: I grew up in Graham, TX. Now my home is Norman.
Favorite place to eat in Norman: Paw-Paw's Dawg House. Best hot dog in the state.
Favorite memory: My first hole-in-one. 200-yds, into the setting sun, can't see a thing. I knew it was a solid swing but never saw the ball land. Walked around the green and could not find my ball. Looked in the hole and SURPRISE!

How Long at OU: I began my academic career at OU in 1991 and received my BS in 1996 and MS in 2001, both in Health and Sport Sciences. I have worked as an adjunct instructor in the Health and Exercise Science Department since 2003 and began my current position with Recreational Services Dec 2007.
Hobbies and Interests: I enjoy reading and gardening, taking walks with my dog and spending time with my family. I also love to cook; probably one reason I decided to get into the health and fitness field! My husband and I are hoping to begin playing golf together.
Favorite Thing about OU: My favorite thing about OU is just being here! It is a beautiful campus and a great place to work. I love the energy I feel everyday being in such a positive environment and knowing I have an opportunity to impact our future through teaching young adults.
Hometown: Tulsa, OK
Favorite Place to Eat in Norman: Pretty much anything Mexican! I love the atmosphere and food at La Luna, but usually end up at On the Border because my husband loves the fishbowl Dos Equis Ambar with lime around the rim.
Favorite Memory: My husband, Chat, and I met at work. The night before our first date my manager at the time said she had a dream that Chat and I got married. I remember laughing her off because we haven't even been on our first date. One year later, he proposed! I made sure she was in my wedding!

How long at OU?: I attended the University of Oklahoma from 1982-1987 for undergrad and received my master's of PA in 1993. I began my tenure as a professional staff member in 1987.
Hobbies and Interest: I like working in the yard, going to the OKC Zoo, reading suspense novels, working on my house, visiting with friends and backyard cookouts, music, and having a good laugh.
Favorite Thing about OU: My favorite thing about OU is the Great Reading Room in the Bizzell Library.

How long at OU? After receiving my BS in Psychology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2006, I moved to Norman to pursue my Masters in Adult and Higher Education. While working on that degree, I lived and worked on campus as a Resident Director for Housing & Food Services until 2008. I moved into my current position in May of 2009.
Hobbies and Interest: Shortly after beginning my tenure in H&F, a friend inspired me to start running. What began as a curious endeavor has turned into a lifestyle for me. Training for and running a marathon is time consuming, but so rewarding. I also love spending time with friends over a good cup of coffee or fantastic meal.
Favorite thing about OU: I love how the campus seems to change depending on the time of day or year, and yet, still be just as great as any other time. For example, I love the empty campus when I’m out on an early Sunday morning run, but I also enjoy the energy of the South Oval at noon on a typical fall day.
Favorite place to eat in Norman: Though I love all of the local eateries such as The Mont and The Earth, my favorite place to eat is the Couch Cafeteria. There is no other restaurant in town where can you have sun -dried tomato grouper, fresh tortillas, fried okra, cereal and hot chocolate cobbler all in the same meal.
Favorite vacation spot: Though I don’t have a favorite vacation spot, I do love vacation. Growing up with teachers for parents, my family often spent large chunks of summer vacation in a minivan on an exciting tour of every historical, cultural and natural landmark we could find. Our road trips took us to all but nine states, so I’ve seen a lot of the diversity our country has to offer!

How long at OU?: I began working at OU in 2003. Along with group fitness, I am a water safety instructor, lifeguard and instructor of lifeguards at the OU Pool in the summer. I am a NSCA-CPT (National Strength and Conditioning Certified Personal Trainer) and NFPA Group Fitness Instructor (National Fitness Professionals Association)
Hobbies and Interest: I love teaching Fitness Classes, Running, Scrap booking, Working out, spending time with friends and family.
Education: Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with Emphasis on Exercise and Fitness Management from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2001.
Hometown: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Favorite place to eat in Norman: La Luna
Favorite place to vacation: Florida's Walt Disney World. I travel with my family multiple times a year to see Mickey Mouse and visit Destin Beach my favorite Beach in the world.

How long at OU?: I started here as a freshman in 2005. I was hired as a rock wall attendant and then floor attendant before working maintenance. I started as a pro staff member in August of 2008 in maintenance.
Hobbies and Interest: I enjoy the great outdoors in every way. I love to sail catamarans, water ski and wakeboard, hunt, fish, backpack, climb and the list goes on. If I’m not working or in school, I’m outside.
Favorite Thing about OU: My favorite thing is football and basketball season. I love to watch OU sports.
Hometown: I was born in Tulsa but grew up in Midwest City and plan to move back near there after I graduate.
Favorite place to eat in Norman: I love to eat at J-Pats or Vans Pig Stand.
Favorite thing: My boats and my dog Hobie.

How long at OU: I moved back to Norman in the fall of 2005 and began working at OU in January of 2006.
Hobbies and interests: I love to bike dirt trails, dig in the garden, and recycle everything in sight.
Favorite things about OU: Meeting International students, finding new music artists through students, hearing about students' lives, attending plays and music events, the museums, and walking campus in the fall.
Hometown:I grew up in Arlington, TX, and lived in six other states before landing back in Norman.
Favorite place to eat in Norman: I could eat at Charlestons weekly!
Favorite thing about working at Huffman: Each day is a little different even though the routine is the same. There are too many nice people to count in a year, and the environment is energizing.

How long at OU?: I began working for the University of Oklahoma in February of 2009.

Hobbies and Interests: I love anything that deals with sports. I’m a big St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs fan! I enjoy officiating any sport, specifically soccer and baseball. In my spare time I like to travel and spend time with good friends.
Favorite thing about OU: The people! I enjoy working with the professional staff and students.

Hobbies and Interests: I enjoy playing and watching sports. I love traveling for different OU sporting events. I enjoy following my favorite pro teams which are: Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and the Oklahoma City Thunder. I love my part time job with the OKC Thunder. In my spare time I enjoy going to the lake, going to concerts and hanging out with my family and friends.
Favorite Thing about OU: Meeting new and different people every day. I also enjoy the game day environment in the fall during OU football games.

Favorite Vacation Spot: Going on cruises in the Caribbean with my family. Going to Panama City, FL with my friends.

How long at OU?: After receiving my bachelor's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in Fitness and Exercise Management in 1998 I began my career as the Aquatics Coordinator at OU.
Hobbies and Interest: I enjoy working out, gardening, spending time with family and friends, sports of all kinds, history of the Titanic, and following all of Women's Basketball.
Favorite Thing about OU: The atmosphere and the beautiful campus.
Hometown: I grew up in Noble, OK. Now my home is Norman
Favorite place to eat in Norman: Chili's and Olive Garden
Favorite Vacation Spot: Niagara Falls and Upstate New York. Beautiful Country and very peaceful
