Director
How long at OU?: I started my academic career at the University in 1991. I have a bachelor's in chemistry and a master's in education. Within the Student Affairs, I have held many positions including the Director for Residence Life, the Director for Housing and Food Services, and I have been the Director for Recreational Services since 2004.
Hobbies and Interest: In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, working out, taking photographs, and working in my gardens.
Favorite Thing about OU: "My favorite things about OU are the students and the community. Every day is new and a great opportunity to positively impact others' lives. Working in Recreational Services is a great way to do this. The department reaches out not only to educate, but to help students, faculty, and staff establish life-long habits."
Hometown: Oklahoma City
Favorite place to eat in Norman: La Luna is my favorite restaurant. The salsa is the best! There is nothing like a tortilla filled with La Luna salsa!
Favorite time of year: My favorite time of the year is summer. The weather is beautiful and the air is full of anticipation of students arriving in August. I know the new year and new freshmen will bring excitement to campus."

How long at OU?: I attended OU as an undergrad student and received my bachelors in Health and Exercise Science. I worked at the Huston Huffman Center as a student for 2 years, and now I am a part of the professional staff as the facility coordinator. My dream is the start an Outdoor program here at OU since we do not have one.
Hobbies and Interest: I love to be outside, be it climbing, hiking, camping, fishing, or mountain biking. If it is outside, I love it.
Favorite Thing about OU: My favorite thing about OU is riding my bike on campus when it is a nice warm day and the sun is out.
Hometown: I was born in Albuquerque, NM but raised in Norman, OK because my father was the head Strength and conditioning coach here at OU from 1981-1993.
Favorite place to eat in Norman: Gai Jin Sushi. I could eat sushi all day everyday. But I also love Shoguns in Edmond. It is where I go every year for my birthday.
Favorite thing: My dog Harley "stinkerbell" she is a black and white toy Schnauzer. She was born December 25 2005."

How long at OU?: I attended the University of Oklahoma from 1982-1987 for undergrad and received my master's of PA in 1993. I began my tenure as a professional staff member in 1987.
Hobbies and Interest: I like working in the yard, going to the OKC Zoo, reading suspense novels, working on my house, visiting with friends and backyard cookouts, music, and having a good laugh.
Favorite Thing about OU: My favorite thing about OU is the Great Reading Room in the Bizzell Library.

How long at OU?: I came to the university in 1990 and completed my undergrad in 1993. I have been on staff since 1994. I am currently the Assistant Director of Recreational Services and direct the Intramural Department and Adaptive Sports program.
Hobbies and Interest: I enjoy playing golf. I am active in my church and like going places with my family.
Favorite Thing about OU: Working for students to make an impact during their educational tenure.
Hometown: I grew up in Graham, TX. Now my home is Norman.
Favorite place to eat in Norman: Paw-Paw's Dawg House. Best hot dog in the state.
Favorite memory: My first hole-in-one. 200yds, into the setting sun, can't see a thing. I knew it was a solid swing but never saw the ball land. Walked around the green and could not find my ball. Looked in the hole and SURPRISE!

Fitness and Outreach Coordinator
How long at OU?: I began working at OU in 2003. Along with group fitness, I am a water safety instructor, lifeguard and instructor of lifeguards at the OU Pool in the summer. I am a NSCA-CPT (National Strength and Conditioning Certified Personal Trainer) and NFPA Group Fitness Instructor (National Fitness Professionals Association)
Hobbies and Interest: I love teaching Fitness Classes, Running, Scrap booking, Working out, spending time with friends and family.
Education: Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with Emphasis on Exercise and Fitness Management from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2001.

Favorite place to vacation: Florida's Walt Disney World. I travel with my family multiple times a year to see Mickey Mouse and visit Destin Beach my favorite Beach in the world.

How long at OU?
I started working for Recreational Services in 2005, but have worked at OU since 2003. I am currently attending the university for my bachelor degree in Native American Studies. I have an Associates Degree in Journalism from OCCC.
Hobbies and Interests:
In addition to working and going to school at OU, I am also a DJ on 98.9 KYIS FM on Sunday nights. I also enjoy watching sports, especially basketball; chatting with the Huffman students', basically I'm up for anything fun.
Favorite Thing(s) about OU:
Lots of things- the community, sports, beautiful campus; it's all good.

Malinda Williams
Asistant Director
How Long at OU: I began my academic career at OU in 1991 and received my BS in 1996 and MS in 2001, both in Health and Sport Sciences. I have worked as an adjunct instructor in the Health and Exercise Science Department since 2003 and began my current position with Recreational Services Dec 2007.
Hobbies and Interests: I enjoy reading and gardening, taking walks with my dog and spending time with my family. I also love to cook; probably one reason I decided to get into the health and fitness field! My husband and I are hoping to begin playing golf together.
Favorite Thing about OU: My favorite thing about OU is just being here! It is a beautiful campus and a great place to work. I love the energy I feel everyday being in such a positive environment and knowing I have an opportunity to impact our future through teaching young adults.

Favorite Place to Eat in Norman: Pretty much anything Mexican! I love the atmosphere and food at La Luna, but usually end up at On the Border because my husband loves the fishbowl Dos Equis Ambar with lime around the rim.
Favorite Memory: My husband, Chat, and I met at work. The night before our first date my manager at the time said she had a dream that Chat and I got married. I remember laughing her off because we haven't even been on our first date. One year later, he proposed! I made sure she was in my wedding!

Maintenance Coordinator
How long at OU?: I began my academic career at OU in 1990 and completed my degree in 1996. I have worked as a student and professional member since 1992. I was the facility coordinator prior to my current position as coordinator of maintenance.
Hobbies and Interest: My son Cooper. Fishing and hunting and riding on my property with my 4-wheeler are a few things I do in my spare time. I also follow OU athletics.
Favorite Thing about OU: Athletics. Nothing is better than Saturday's during football season. The games, atmosphere, and great times with family are hard to beat except winning another National Championship.

Favorite rock band: RUSH. No question, Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart are masters of their domain.
Favorite Thing about Working at Huffman: The students that help with maintaining the facility. Keeping everything working and clean is difficult. They are a big reason for our nice facility.

How long at OU?: I began working as the Intramural Coordinator for the University of Oklahoma on May 1, 2006. I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors in Health Promotion.
Hobbies and Interest:I am sports enthuist, love live music, meeting new people, spending time with friends, and doing pretty much anything outdoors.
Favorite Thing about OU: I think the people at the University of Oklahoma make this place truly special.

Favorite place to eat in Norman: Probably so far, The Mont, but there are a lot of places I still haven't tried..
Favorite time of year: Whatever sports season it is.

How long at OU?: After receiving my bachelor's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in Fitness and Exercise Management in 1998 I began my career as the Aquatics Coordinator at OU.
Hobbies and Interest: I enjoy working out, gardening, spending time with family and friends, sports of all kinds, history of the Titanic, and following all of Women's Basketball.
Favorite Thing about OU: The atmosphere and the beautiful campus.
