Adaptive Sports

The program currently sponsors a competitive wheelchair basketball team that travels across the country competing against other universities and community teams. For information about the Adaptive Sports and Fitness/Recreation program at the University of Oklahoma or IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING A PARTICIPANT IN COLLEGIATE WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL, contact Garry Armstrong. (gmoney@ou.edu or 405-325-3053.) OU wheelchair basketball is in need of players for the 2010-11 season.

This season, the team will not participate in the 2009-10 NWBA/Arkansas Valley conference. The program needs players to compete during the 2010-11 season to be a competitor in the Collegiate Division of the NWBA.

The Adaptive Sports and Fitness/Recreation program at the University of Oklahoma offers sports, fitness, and recreational activities to students with disabilities. Tennis, Pickleball, Badminton, & Table Tennis are offered as Intramural Events for all students.

The program also accepts donations from individuals and businesses. All donations are tax deductible. For information on setting up joint fundraisers or supporting The Adaptive Sports and Fitness/Recreation Program at The University of Oklahoma by donation please contact Recreational Services at (405) 325-3053 and ask for Garry Armstrong.
